multi channel plugins to be compatible with.

Sonar 7,8,8.5 & X1 are daily in use with engineers who mix in surround. Be it 5.1 or 7.1. Sonar does not work with plugins that process multiple streams. It works with stereo processors and has a way of chaining them in a surround bus. That was convient in Sonar 7. But things have moved on.

I'd love to create a list here, with your help of plugins now available as a multichannel Virtual signal instrument.

Thanks

I shifted to Nuendo for surround mixing since a week back just to be able to use the surround plugins. I dont see the point of listing the surround plugins if sonar doesnt support them..?

Indeed. The list will be all multichannel surround plugins.

But here's another one: Isone Pro Surround. A 6 in, 2 out plugin that takes a 5.1 mix and converts it into a surround sound headphone mix. It works quite well, and much better than other schemes that try to do this like Dolby Headphone.

When we list em the Sonar development team can see in a glance these are great plugins that need to be put to work in Sonar's otherwise great surround invironment.
