music creator 5 and digital sound factory vol 8

Im extremely new to audio work, but i found that Music Creator 5 didn't have the instruments that i wanted, the box says it contains acoustic guitars, but it really only has one (who cares about a zither).  i noticed that none of the expansions for cakewalk sound center included a plan old nylon acoustic guitar as well.  i did find that there is something called digital sound factory vol 8, but im not sure if its compatable with music creator 5.

is there a way to add instruments to cakewalk sound center?  or do i have to buy another product?

I don't use soundcenter much, but if it only has 1 acoustic guitar I'm not surprised.  however, they are able to say "acoustic guitars" because TTS-1 has more than 1 in it.

I don't know what digital sound factory is.

there are expansion packs for the soundcenter.  but I don't know if there are any with acoustic guitars or not

Getting a good acoustic guitar from a synth is difficult at best... however I just found this free VST that works with MC4 & 5 that you can download and try.

    Spicy Guitar

Listen to the sound examples on the site. There is also a video there as well.

Get it and try it.... the hard thing with even the best sampled guitars is to get a realistic picking sound.... but with practice and effort I have heard some pretty realistic sounding things.

BTW: be sure you get the MC5 update from the cake site... it updates MC5 & CWSC and I believe you get a few more "default" instruments in the upgrade as well.

The sound center is one of my GOTO instruments for piano and bass and some of the other "World" instruments.

I think Proteus VX has several acoustic guitars with it. I don't have it on this computer so I can't check.
It was (may still be) a free download from Creative. It's worth it, even if it doesn't fit the bill, acoustic guitar-wise. Twelve hundred patches, and they sound good to me.
May not work with some operating systems (anything after XP). Then again, it might.

I used to use the TTS-1 Guitar settings for composition. I started with an idea on guitar, but having the lack of an adequate analog interface, I would convert my simple idea into midi. It works great for composing.
