my bm6as rattle with bass - any advice?

My Dynaudio BM6as are rattling when you pass bass through them at a decent volume.

I think it's the PCB inside which rattles.

Has anyone else experienced this and more importantly, has anyone fixed it?

Kind regards

Dave Rich

First thing to know: Are they covered by any type of manufacturer warranty and serviceable without too much of a pain in the butt?

If not... I'd probably end up taking them apart for a quick look. It sounds like it could be as simple as a loose screw.

Good idea about the warranty, if you open it, that may void the warranty.

I had a similar problem with a bass cab, it turned out to be a loose srew on the outside input jack area. Could be as simple as that. More likely a screw than the pcb; at least I would hope so.

I'm not sure about the warrantee - I'll have to check that in the morning.

I have opened them up before though just to have a quick browse around (hopefully they won't notice ;) ) and I didn't see anything obvious apart from two whopping great capacitor type thingys which did vibrate together a little.

    No-one else sees this then?

    Kind regards

I do not own them...however I have heard this from other people and read it in some other forums. The sales guy at GC said they had a bunch of them returned for this very reason. Dynaudio makes high quality stuff, I'll bet they know about this and have a fix.
