Your lawn mower conked out and you did this? It would have taken me weeks to come up with playing like that! Fantastic job.

And if my lawn mower broke, my missus would've certainly have found another job for me to have done.

Well after those glowing accolades, I just had to listen to this NOW.  And everyone's right.  This is just great...performances, mix, vox, all of it.  Love that ivory-tickling especially. :)  Which Dim Pro bass patch did you use?

It's also pretty cool to hear that some men mow lawns.  :)  I hope you can find one that works well.  I know what a pain that can be!

Yee Hah, Tim goes flat out country, and the crowd is on their feet yellin' for more.  Great job on this Tim, and probably the best usage of a spark plug socket I've ever heard or seen.
Loved it!

Extremely cool. I love your recordings – so clean but also full (it’s hard for me to explain this)  – I can hear everything in its own place and yet it all blends so well. This track takes me back to my initial introduction to Jimmy Dean (not the sausage – the music). Very authentic sounding (because it is authentic) but you know what I mean – you captured a vibe that is both retro and yet contemporary. Great job on performance and recording.

wow. WOW! i love the drums and piano sounds. and your voices. perfect all around. i'm learning something here. if you don't mind my asking...how long did it take you? and, what drum stuff are you using? HOW is it that your'e not a pro producer? you must be just too nice a guy. anyway, thanks tim for more magic.

Hey Danny. Well, I took a look/listen to the bass and what really needs done is to redo it with a bass. DOH:)  I hadn't soloed it in awhile and it's pretty bad (to me). That said, I have a problem redoing stuff sometimes especially if the production was formed around a certain part. It just usually gets watered down in the process.
Anyway, I'm done with it for now. Thanks

Thanks chasmcg
Thanks again Gary.
Thanks jsaras
Thanks Benzofog.
Yes indeed, Wookie. Thanks
Thanks evadianepug
Thanks Scotty. It's a good tune. I think I hated it back then though:)
Thanks equality.
Thanks Portsmouth
Thanks Janet. It was the acous bass patch. You MOW? HB BTW.
Thanks Mr.Thatsastart. Glad you liked. I did have to clean it with acetone first:)
Thanks Philz. appreciate it.
Thanks Manny.  retro yet contemporary is a good thing:)
Thanks Jamesday. I originally did this about 10 years ago (just midi). So, I had a basic track. I stripped most of it as I went along, basically kept the piano and bass and started over.  "how long"? who knows.. I think I tracked everything in a day and then tweaked for a month or so:) I thought I was a Pro Producer. hmm? I tend to think I'm "nice". Not all would agree though.

Sounds fine to me the way that it is.

(they do sell spark plugs and lawnmowers at stores and spark plugs for mowers also.)

I think nowadays with the words though you better put a dollar in the jukebox, not a nickel.

(smilies aren't to great here though on this forum)

Timbo,
That was great!  Reminded me of when i was a kid going cross country and listening to country music with my Grandpa.  Great playing and singing and the overall production sounds so good that if you didn't fix what Danny was talking about, let me know.  I was too busy rockin out.  LOL

Thanks spacealf. Yea, I don't like to buy things if I don't really really have to:) And yea, a nickel won't do it no more..

Thanks Arlen. Glad I could bring back some fond memories for you. Yea, I didn't "fix" anything.
And, Thank Mr. Grant for me for adding it to his SC station:)

Man, I played this a few times in honkey tonks from Michigan to Montana.  Nice mix,  Everything nice balanced.  I like the Texas flair on this.

Cool ending too.

The sound at the guitar break @1:15-1:30 was one of the best produced things I have heard on this forum.
