my new cd is almost done!

Hi!
my new (mini) CD is almost done.
i have finished the second mix and now i have to make small corrections and then the mastering stage.
there are 5 songs, all with the guitar as the main instrument, but it is not a guitar hero recording, nor a virtuoso work.
i would define it as a pop/rock instrumental, but if you have some more precise definition or some artist to which i sound like, i would like to know since i want to send this cd to journals and fanzine to get a review, maybe also hoping for some onilne distribution.

titles are originally in italian, the translation is provided... :P

to make this album i have used sonar 8.5.3 producer, jamstix with steven slate drum ex, Creamware Scope for mix and guitar/bass soudn, dimension pro, wusikstation, kork 01 RQ for the synths.

thanks for all of your suggestions!

I listened to the first one - Primavera. I think this is really pretty nice. I do think the mix is a bit muddy - the lead acoustic guitar needs to come up a bit in the mix. But, this is a really nice tune - well done - nice playing.

This sounds like early 80's christian music. Sorry to be so blunt, but, I have no idea how you've managed to get such a dated sound.

The playing/tightness needs working on. Especially in the rhythm section. The keys sounds are SO cheesy it's unreal. The drum sound is far too reverberant and the toms sound uncontrolled. The whole mix sounds a little cluttered and uncontrolled, like everything is trying to compete against each other. Every instrument seems to want to take the lead. It just really doesn't work for me.

That's my thoughts on the first song.

Please don't take this in th wrong way. I might be tearing your mix apart but, I'm trying to be constructive.  Just my opinion, please take it in a positive way.
