navigating within a big file

Is there some way to move quickly through a big file. I have a recording that is about 60 minutes long.
How can I speed thorugh the wave form to get to a point 30 or 40 minutes into the recording. So far I've been forced to just let it play to get to the point I'm interested in.

I'm a new user. Very new. This is my first day.

    New ain't so bad...

    From the help menu:

    To Insert a Track Marker
Click in the split bar (the horizontal bar immediately below your file's waveform)--Pyro inserts a new track marker at the place where you clicked.

    Or

Move the Now Time to the place where you want the marker, and press m on your computer keyboard. Now you can save the track that you inserted the marker into as multiple tracks, or just use the track marker as a way to start playback at some part of the track rather than its original start point.

When you insert track markers, clicking the Next Track and Previous track buttons causes the Now Time to jump to the next or previous track marker.
