need advise

hi guys,
my mom is a music teacher and a teacher coordinator (i think that's how its called) she has a huge knowledge in music and in theory but she's a total failure in computers. recenly we decided to left the old traditional recording methodes and "jump to the future". we bought a new computer with sonar program and a m-audio fast track pro sound card. Now here is the funny thing.... we have no idea what to do or how to do the stuff we want.
What we want:
my mom organizes concerts in her schools and for this she needs playbacks (accompaniment), we have an elctric organ at home but with very boring rhythm and effects. we want to create our own original playbacks

Welcome to the forum. It's quite a steep learning curve but there's plenty of help to be had here.

What Sonar program is it? Does the electric organ have any MIDI connections? Probably on the back or side and labelled something like MIDI in or out. Does it have some sort of audio out such as a line out or headphone socket?

It's quite possible to make music in Sonar without using the keyboard but probably easier with it.

    Welcome.
A MIDI keyboard will be a big help in creating your own backing tracks, as FBB noted, but she being a music teacher, she can also use the Staff view to write the music or to edit MIDi data using the mouse.
There are extensive help files and I suggest doing the tutorials included in them. This will familiarize you with how things work and what the differences between MIDI and audio are and how to edit tracks, using software synthesizers (including drums!), how to record MIDI or audio.
First, though, is setting up the Fast Track so you can use it.
Let us know if you have any problems with that, or anything else that may crop up.

the elctric organ got a midi output and an audio output and  actually i succeeded to connect it to sonar via midi.
But the problem is that i dont know how to add some beutifull additions like drums and other instruments like sax etc...

how to add some other instrumants without physicaly write the notes for each instrument?

    thank you!!
