need an external HD

Hello folks,
Just bought a laptop and I'm running Sonar 7. I think I understand from other posts that I can put my applications and vsts on the C drive with my OS (XP). Id like to get an external HD to put my audio on. I have firewire 400, usb 2.0 and expresscard ports (eSATA?). I dont need a huge drive but would like it to be quiet and fast enough. I figure I could get a Glyph, but wondered if there were any alternatives.
thanks for any suggestions,
doc

If you want the fastest possible setup:

    Get an express-card eSATA controller.
Get a Seagate perpendicular-II HD (32MB cache) and put it in a nice external (eSATA) enclosure.
That's literally as good as it gets. ~110MB/Sec sustained
