Hi. I wam thinking about upgrading my sc from SoundBlaster to something better. My budget is limited so I was thinking about

or
http://www.motu.com/products/motuaudio/audio-express/studio.html
The quality of my music is not too bad, but I have been told that I can achive more with a better soundcard :P

any commets on one of the above, or maybe you know sht better in the similar price range ?

ps. A link Our music http://soundcloud.com/ackless-doherty

I own a saffire 6, which is a lower model..

BUT I notice that is firewire.. so you chipset maybe problematic , if it is NOT "texas instruments" , so be aware you may need to budget for a decent firewire card.. I assume you have one already

the motu does both firewire and usb2 , so thats good.

it's hard to advise.. except to say look at where will you be in 2 years.. will you have out grown the soundcard .e.g. you need more inputs etc.

it depends on what you need it for, which comes into it. e.g. I don't use a lot of live sources , it's all inside the box.. so i don't need many inputs
