need opinions...mix for tv!!!

hello, i need some input. some clients of mine have been asked by MTV's The Real World for a song to use for the show!! please listen to this mix and tell me if you think it sounds good enough for tv. thank you.

    I think the song sounds very good. I can clearly hear all parts of the song, sounds just like something from my cd player.
    I actually can't stand the new breed of MTV pop rock, but the musical parts of this song are cool. I could do w/o the whiny dude singing through his nose (blue steel !!!)

    Now I'm to the break near the end, and it sounds incredible. Good mix of genres, and the double bass rocks.

    The mix is fine, but it's WAY too loud for TV broadcast, or for any other purpose for that matter. It's clipping like crazy throught the song. You should bring it back to -17dB RMS if not lower.

    I also checked your mix for mono compatibility (which is what most people still have on their TV setups) and it works fine. Actually, the vocal pops out a bit more.

    thanx guys, so i should bring the overall volume down? i checked this mix in soundforge and the waveform looks just like a couple professionally done ones along the same genre.

    The "LOUD" stuff is reserved for commericials..at least 6dB louder than the normal program material.

    That aside, you over-cooked that MP3!
