netbook for live vst in sonar possibe?

I am new to these forums, so please direct me if I am in the wrong place.
As a keyboard player, I use sonar 7 PE on a dual core laptop through an m-audio firewire solo for triggering an axiom for organ sounds, secondary to my main yamaha board while gigging. Works fine, but do to travel, it is now necessary for me to go much smaller with my gear (both laptop and interface need to be scaled down in size and weight if possible.)
I understand that netbooks have limitations, I am not wanting to record, but only use it for live situations, and only to trigger a small library of sounds. (I will still use my laptop for mobile recording situations, and my main computer for larger jobs) but I need to know if one of the newer netbooks (and if so, which one) will run sonar and one vst intrument at a time (possibley off of a small external drive) I am mainly needing to run Native intruments B4, and a piano sound or two from Pianissimo. If anyone has done this succsessfully, I would love to hear about it. Thank you!
