new Kicksville song: Meanwhile
Howdy y'all - Here's this week's release: http://kicksville.bandcamp.com/track/meanwhile I gotta say for the record, and I know everyone who played on this song feels the same way, I think this song is one of the coolest things we've ever done in Kicksville. This is is why we do what we do...when it all comes together like this, it's a beautiful thing. If it's not your thing, that's cool too, but we're really proud of this one. And a little back story fer yous: The lyrics Tone Deaf wrote for this are part of the Kicksville "myth" that's kind of grown out of some of our songs. There are a bunch of recurring characters, and this one loosely about two of 'em, Luna Fringe and Piggy Bizz. It's all really just a rant from The Brick (Tone) to the last Piggy (the music biz suit) that came sniffing around Luna (the band). Ha ha, right? So, hope y'all enjoy this song even half as much as we enjoyed writing and recording it! cheers

I love it. The stuff you put out is some of the most unusual on the forum and it's great. Content, playing, vocals, creativity --- their great. I took a look at your videos and they were most creative also. Good stuff y'all!

This week? Wow that's amazing, I've been practicing a part for well over a month... But it fairness, it's not one of my main instruments. I listened on the laptop speakers, the mix sounded pretty good. I was amused to hear some dubstep effects on a song that was like country fusion meets I don't know what. It's a pretty cool Halloween tune, good job. H- And yes, we all love bacon...

Thank you, Freddy! I really appreciate you saying that - there's a lot of great music floating around this forum, so that means a lot. And thanks, Heywood (heh).... Don't get the wrong idea though - that song was just released this week, not written and recorded in 7 days. Our releases are sorta like a TV series.... There's a new song each week you can stream/download for free, and at the end of the "season," you can get a "collector's edition" with all the tracks plus bonus ****e (artwork, lyrics, videos, etc.). And yeah - glitch-ifying the accordion track worked beautifully on this tune...it's one of my favorite bits. If you listen to any of our other stuff, you'll get the idea pretty quickly that we don't much pay attention to sticking to any kind of genre or formula

This sounded very good. Instrumental work was great I believe. I prefer the more singy vocal style though. I still liked the vocals. Mix sounded balanced on my headphones. kakku

Greatly appreciate all of you checking out the material, we had so much fun this season creating...and id have to agree with all your input on this tune and the descriptions. This has to be one of my favorite "group efforts" from us to date!

All in all it's just another brick in the Kicksville wall. I like.
