new acoustic tune- "Lake Katherine"
https://soundcloud.com/bats-brew/lake-katherine-1 the file (doh!) has an extra minute and a half of silence at the end of play, so no, you're not losing your mind, just me. LOL this is a first draft mix of a song i'm working on... probably will re-sing the whole thing, but i had to figure out the arrangement. just looking for some first impressions.

I like it Bat a very nice feel and vibe will keep the furry ears on the listen for the final version.
You should post it at Bandlab as well as this and the other old forums will be closing soon.

Beautiful acoustic sound and playing, really lovely. TBH I'm not sold on the vocals, but I get that it's a WIP. They work with the harmonies, but when you're singing alone it doesn't quite sit right for me. A bit too insistent, too emphatic? Something like that. Probably not much help but those are my first impressions.

A "lighter, gentler" Bat. Who knew? I dig it, but I'm a fan so how could I not! Print it, oand bring on some more! T

the acoustic chain is the simplest of all chains... taylor 414, into a shure ksm 44, directly into the preamps of a RME Babyface Pro interface. after in, some eq to roll off some harsh or low end booboos, run into a LA2A clone plug, and a touch of verb.
appreciate the listens folks, i'm going to keep working on this one.... probably try a new 'middle 8', and possibly re-write the chorus altogether, i've taken all the suggestions and ideas you guys have offered up, and put it all into a new brew i'm concocting..... i'll post a new version as soon as i finish it.
