new host

Wow, just read about the demise of Cakewalk. Suggestions (down the road) for a new host that's similar and compatible?

thanks,

Larry right. There are more threads about what new host to use than anything else!

In fact three of the first four threads in this forum are about new hosts.

    Just look around.

If you have a specific question about anything else, just post back and we would be glad to help.

Definitely check the deals as well. Some companies have made very gracious offers to all the SONAR refugees, and many of them expire in short order.

ASUS ROG Maximus X Hero (Wi-Fi AC), i7-8700k, 16GB RAM, GTX-1070Ti, Win 10 Pro, Saffire PRO 24 DSP, A-300 PRO, plus numerous gadgets and gizmos that make or manipulate sound in some way.

The sticky post at the top of this forum has a nice summary. Some of those have been extended into the new year.

ASUS ROG Maximus X Hero (Wi-Fi AC), i7-8700k, 16GB RAM, GTX-1070Ti, Win 10 Pro, Saffire PRO 24 DSP, A-300 PRO, plus numerous gadgets and gizmos that make or manipulate sound in some way.

Thanks...yea I have been educating myself. I think I'll read up on other DAWs and see how this plays out in the coming months.
