new material - mix #1

this is one of 3 new tunes i'm working on right now....
a bit of a new direction.
 
this is a first mix.....looking for any first impressions or suggestions.
i think this mix is bass guitar light.... tho in the monitors and cans it seems pretty full,
on other playback systems it seems light.

    I think the definition of the bass guitar is audible enough, but is needing a little more low end to give the song a little more bounce.

    thanks man, i'm just getting up to speed on this one, so i appreciate the quick feedback.
     
    i mean, this is kinda like a snapshot of how i work a new song out.
    next time you hear it, it will be different!

    so, everyone else who has commented on this song (on other web pages) has said that the kick is 'overwhelming' the mix.
    maybe that's frequency masking the bass?
     
     
    i don't like the bass track anyway, and plan on re-tracking it...
    i've already written the new bass line,
    i just have to learn how to play it without f'in it up.

    Only listening on the DT100's so mix analysis is pointless, like the tune, too warm to fire the whole thing up (30 deg C (86F + in the shade).  Will give it a proper listen later, which knowing you Bat will be another mix.

    I do have to ask what you mean by "f'in it up"
