Nice straight forward rock combined with some different kinds of sounds. I'm liking the whole effect!

Yes, I like the bass sound, nice and upfront. Not just background noise. Really like the guitar too. I think my guitar style is kind of like yours, except your a much better player. You had me doing the head bob the last 30 seconds. Nice instrumental with a nice mix where everything stands out in it's own field. Jesse

Like this a lot John, very cool, breezy track with a little bite in the guitars. Love that synth work, a lovely counterpoint to the rock sound of the backing track. Good use of tension & release in the arrangement.

John, Love this mix! I like your use of unexpected sounds thrown in here and there. Really does keep things interesting. I will say that after the opening, I was expecting that synth to make a comeback, but it never did... Regards, Dan

Sounds really great John! Love the guitars. The title reminds of a routine by the Smothers Brothers years ago... :-)

Good stuff! Love the segue of synth leads to straight-ahead rock guitar... works well. The guitar sounds really good, very "live" and in-your-face. Mix is nicely balanced too.

Thanks a lot for listening Steve! I use S-Gear for the guitar (and now it's gonna sound even better with my new Ultralite AVB). You guys are really making me happy with the positive feedback - because I struggled a little with this mix ;-)

First thing that struck me was how the bass was present, yet controlled. Besides Trillian patch, how did you route it? Good job on that! I'd agree that the mix elements are very nicely separated - and really tasteful guitar choices throughout! For a mix suggestion, maybe just back off the hi-hat a smidge, I mean just a smidge. I think a smidge is technically defined as .02 db, if I'm not mistaken. :) . . . sometimes I thought your hi hat hits were poking out over your guitar leads, particularly towards the last minute or so. Outstanding track here, thanks for the share! cheers, - Tom

Wow - thansk a lot for listening and for the comments! Vilovilo - I use Equilibrium on everything! It's a great plugin ;-) I'm glad you can hear a Scottish vibe ;-) Tom - I'll take your hats comment on board and pay more attention to this. I've set my mouse wheel for "smidge" increments ;-) I can't tell you how happy I am to hear that the bass sounds OK. It was really fighting against the "finger pick" chords, and I struggled a little with it. It's really just a Trilian Fender bass patch with a little (Equilibrium) eq and compression. I don't think I did anything else to it. string jammer - it's always fun getting my "group" together (which is really just me in my tiny little room) ;-)
