new tune - "Stay"
https://soundcloud.com/bats-brew/stay a departure for me, with a strong keyboard component and walking bass lines. well, it IS one of my most new ones.... i've got 4 brand new never posted songs almost finished, but not ready for prime time yet. i've got 10 songs on a previously release but no-longer-available album that i'm re-recording/mixing, and i'll start posting those soon. but i would hope, that there are new folks coming into the forum on a regular basis, and some of those folks may have not heard this, so i'm giving them a shot as well. plus, as many as are here, i mostly just get a handful of reviews, which is fine, but informs me that there are a lot of people here who have not heard my stuff. so, sorry if it seems like re-hash, but i'm quite busy with a LOT of active song projects, but nothing ready to post yet. i'm also hoping that maybe, someone, will hear one of these songs and want to pick an album up. that'd be nice.

Nice song, enjoyed the listen. Good use of the stereo field in this one.

hey daryl! this is the finished version. i posted the demos a couple of times before, so this one had suggestions and previous listening sessions incorporate into the mix. appreciate the comments

I don't recall if I've heard this one before, as-is or otherwise, but as expected... I liked it. Love the slinky groove (bass lines are great) and the way the guitars interplay at L & R, along with the little hits and FX.

thanks stevec, for the comments, glad you dig it, for my more rock stuff, i'll use a pick on the bass a lot of times, for the definition, but i really love playing finger bass the most, and i'm still hunting for 'my sound' with that style.... it is a pretty trippy mix in the headphones, i think it works best that way
