newb help

hey everybody, um i got a question on my drums.
on my keyboard i have bass on the hip hop drums, but wen i play da bass on the keyboard on the drums, it doesnt sound the same on CWMC, in fact the sound that comes out isnt even drums more like a piano, can anyone help me?

    Simple answer, you are sending midi data to Music Creator, not sound, what you hear on the keyboards speakers is the keyboards synth chip, what you hear on the computers speakers is the internal synth in the computer, if you want to hear the keyboards on board sounds you have to route the midi back out of MC into the keyboard and then attach an audio cable from the audiop out of the Keyboard to the line in on the sound card.

    One other thing if you are actually already doing this then the other problem is that you need to set both the midi track and the keyboard to channel 10 (the drums channel)
