newb question
I have successfully (finally got around to it!) transfered / recorded old analog cassette to HS 2 from old deck --> and saved project in HS2 as audio file /project How to transfer big audio file into individual tracks? I've already used clip tool to clip at zero level points in track where aeach song ends - I just need to transfer the clips to tracks. almost there... but now I'm stuck. I've read manual, the forums, the help docs... and i'm thinkin 'do i need Pyro?" lol. any help appreciated.

If you've already sliced the larger file into song-clips, it's simple. Just click on the songclip - it turns black- and select File/Export to WAV. That will only export what you highlighted.

Jack Bauer: This answer was written between 8:10pm and 8:12pm... If you're just recording old cassettes I'd say Sonar 5 would be WAY overkill. Actually, Pyro is a much better application for that than Home Studio.

I don't think anyone can really answer the S5-worthy question. It really depends on what you want to do. HS2 still works really well for me. I'm thinking of upgrading to HS4, but it's double the price once you pay the tariffs to get it into Canada. Sonar 5 would be great, but probably overkill for me. And maybe you too. So if I were you, wanting to upgrade, I'd probably go for HS4 instead of S5.

Daveny 5 a little of topic here but I notice from another post you mention that you are up on the Hudson. Oh man I miss that area . Used to work at Indian Point 3 as a sub contractor when the jobs came up. Used to stay in Tarrytown and Hastings on the Hudson . I love it up there . Anyway I knew a guy with your name a number of years ago who sold Stienway painos on 57th st. Is that you ?
