Make sure your master bus is directed to your main outs 1/2 (sound card outs)

Your card was temporarily hijacked by your Media Player, or by playback of a video at You Tube - some activity like that.  You opened Sonar directly after playing an MP3 or something and Sonar couldn't find your card, so your buses came up "silent."  Just re-loading the program fixes that issue for me when it happens.

It will also happen if you start SONAR and then power up your interface.  Silent buses can also "stick" that way until you save the project with the interface properly set.

nice, i manually set the master bus at the bottom left of the track view. Usually restarting the program would work fine, but i think i must have saved it with the busses silenced. thANKS
