It might be that you do not have an instrument selected in the project. For instance if you had three different instruments and you were previewing a pattern, it would sound different everytime you choose a new instrument, provided there are sounds associated with notes in the pattern. That would make sense to you if youve made your own. But certain instruments only play sounds from certain ranges. hope that helps

Thanks for the response C Twins. But i already have an audio track selected, im trying to preview from the loops and patterns browser, and even when i drag and drop into the arrange pane, still nothing. Im trying to preview some loops and samples i created to use in the groove matrix. Neither the factory loops and patterns or my own work. I just installed P5 today (I normally use Reason 3.0), and everything else is working perfectly.

try -options-audio and look for the justify setting if u are playing back at 24 bit,
if it's set to 32 LSB u just select 32 MSB, but be careful, be sure to pull down/back the main volume of your
    amplifier first.

Are you certain they are audio loops? When I first came to P5, I made this "mistake" several times before it sunk-in, so it's always worth asking the seemingly obvious.

If by chance they are MIDI loops you're trying to preview, you need to create a new instrument track, load an appropriate patch into that instrument, select that track, and then try auditioning your MIDI loop.

If they are ACIDized loops or whatever, then I'm not much help.

    Hello walid,

To let you know I am having the same exact problem as you had. I can't preview anything in the the Loops and Patterns. I am going to try out the advise in your post. Any other advise would be greatly appreciated.

I need your help. I noticed that you said in your post that you use Reason 3.0. Are you still using it? Why are you making a change to Project5 V2? I am looking to buy a product and so far I am looking into either Project5 or Reason 3. I am still undecided. Maybe you can help since you are a user of both products.

For more info you can look at my post (Ready to buy, but still not sure if Project 5 is the one. Please Help!) I just put up today. Thank you for any of your help.
