Is the PC's sound card recognized by Sonar and setup as a device? Some sound devices do not have ASIO drivers and won't be recognized. If there is no ASIO drivers you can try the free ASIO4ALL program but I've run into problems with that and had to remove it and reinstall the drivers for my separate recording device.
Click Edit then Preferences. In Audio Devices, if the PC's audio (RealTek) is not detected then it's probably an ASIO issue. If it's listed, check the entry so it can be used. In the Playback and Recording you can try different Driver Modes, other than ASIO to see if gets detected.
