no sound in audio track playback

I inserted an Audio track and recorded, and it had a decent signal while recording.  But when I played it back, nothing.  No sound, no signal in the meter.      I know it has to do with Outputs, but right now I'm at a loss.   Suggestions?

    Do you see the recorded waveform? If not, its an input problem, not an output problem.

    Yes.   There is a signal when I use the mic.  And when I record, the wave form is there.  But when I play back . . no signal or sound.

    In Console View, what do you show for output on:

    Track
    Buss
     
    No Solos, muting and Volume is up as well?
