Have no response? Whats the value set to? Sometimes if the value is set too small it's almost as if there is no snapping happening at all. Try setting the Snap Value to something obvious like a whole measure or something of the sort.

Make sure the clip is selected and use the numeric keypad with numlock on.

OK thanks...I can move it 1 measure or up & down, but no response in small increments. I should be able to see 10 ticks but nothing moves, either using the process menu or the keypad.

If the values are small, you generally can't see the clip move.  I have my Nudge 1, 2, and 3 set to 10, 20, and 30 ms respectively.  I can't see the clip move, but you can sure hear the difference when working on critical alignment.  Good luck!

    Cheers!

Probably doesn't apply, but just in case:  if you have the entire track selected, you may not be able to slide or nudge left because you are already up against the top of the song.  The solution is to double check the start time of the selected region.  Sorry if this is obvious or doesn't apply to you, but it confused me for a bit until I realized what was going on.

I'm thinking you've inadvertently entered Enhanced Keyboard Editing mode with the numkey pad by hitting 0 there. Normally you get a different cursor with this mode, but I just checked and I'm not seeing it in X3 so it would be easy to miss. In any case, try hitting 0 on the numkey pad to disable it, and your other nudge keys should start working again with Ctrl.

Thanks for all yr suggestions. i think I got it just by raising the value of the nudge parameters.
