Mike - it depends on what you're paying for! your speeds are really good, especially your upload speed. here's mine - and it's pretty close to what I'm paying for.

Just to give you all perspective... I'm not trying to brag or anything... I'm just amazed. I'm at my mother in law's house with the 18+ and my house is 8... but last November the very best I could get at my house was 56k phone modem so it's been a huge leap forward. best regards, mike

Exactly what on the Speedtest site do you run or download? There seems to be a lot of stuff they're luring you with.

Yes it used to be much cleaner and easier. It's downer that they let it get so sneaky and hard to use the main link. At the home page DO NOT hit "Start Now". Do click on "Begin Test" You will either ask you to pick a server to connect too (one of the white dots on the map) or it will auto connect to a regional server. Then it runs it's test and shows you a bunch of adds when it posts the results. Good Luck! best regards, mike

There should be a button after you run the test called "COPY" yorolpal. Just click that to copy the image link, then come here and hit the image icon (looks like mountains with a sun) and paste the link in. That's all there is to it!

This isn't anywhere close to being accurate (in my case at least). They are showing this as download speed which it is not. It's connection speed. Typically (depending on your provider) you get 10~15% of your connection speed for downloading and 5~10% for uploading. I'd be thrilled if I could download at 1Mb/s, but I've never gone over 130~140Kb/s.

My mother in law just moved. Her previous house had 4... now shes at 18. At my house with 8 I can stream 720p YouTube and 1080p seems a bit clunky. At 18 the 1080p just streams like I should take it for granted. It's my impression that once you hit the higher numbers that the remote server and routers become the bottleneck. best regards, mike

What's most disappointing is that my package with Talk Talk (my broadband just went down from £7 to £6.50 a month!) theoretically allows for up to 24Mb/s download speeds at no extra cost but the exchange I'm connected to must have been salvaged from the Ark BT were supposed to have upgraded the exchange sometime earlier this year but this seems to have been shelved for some reason.

Mine is pitiful but it is faster then the other day on my desktop.... I was downloading a file at a blazing 320bytes per second..... that's almost as fast as dialup. I had to replace the NIC that was damaged by a surge. This speed is from my laptop on a wireless router.

Sheesh that's smoking Eric! I know What exchange are you on mate, I'm on St Johns. St. Peter's. Though I think it depends on whether the boxes junction boxes have been upgraded. It all seems a bit erratic in Worcester, I think I got lucky :-)
