ok, what am i doing wrong?

A little background...I have built a 2nd computer to host my software synths (using Brainspawn Forte). I'm controlling them with Sonar 5PE from my main DAW. I got the impression from the Dimension Pro manual that I could use it as a multi-timbral synth (up to 4 instruments/channels). When I try that, though, it doesn't seem to work. Here's what I'm doing: load piano in element 1, switch to element 2, load another instrument (i.e., bass). That instrument is now loaded in one as well. There's a switch according to the manual that needs to be set for multi-timbral operation. I'm pretty sure I'm doing that. Hmmmmm...I'm not normally this stupid. HELP!

I'm pretty sure I'm doing that.
Just by way of a review: The second icon of four [Options] ticks the multitimbral mode. You should now be receiving on MIDI channels 1 through 4, assuming MIDI information is transmitted to DP on those same channels. The Elements align with those same MIDI channels.

Not to sound petty, but I was hoping that this reply might trigger something on your end that would help.

I'll double-check what I'm doing. I was wondering if I had misread or misunderstood something. Thanks for the response.
