omg this song is givng me headaches!

alrighjt i am having a big problem righ now...

apparently sonar doesn't want to trigger notes just randomly..

I have a chord progression for a pad, and it is only trigggering half of the chords,, it like drops out for 2 chords for no reason,.. I have switched the synth so it has nothing to do with polyphony or anything..

has anybody ever had this happen? is there a fix??

Yeah the default is too small for most people, Edit > Preferences > MIDI > Playback and Recording try bumping it to 500ms.

cool. thanks for the help. actually right as i was getting this email i was scouring the preferences and saw this option.. strange how it's too small.. I have a pretty decent computer now.. anyways. are there any downsides to boosting this to, say, 1000? or 2000?

You want to find the right balance.... too small and you drop notes like you are experiencing, too big and you start to introduce latency that may become problematic. The latency I believe would be on playback....

There were a few people who actually changed the buffer settings depending on whether they were recording or playing back. When you find that "happy place" you should be good in both modes.
