one more update?

hello, I just noticed booting Splat that it says "update 11" so will there be one more update for people who got splat when it was released? I think it was the 22 of January.

yeah I get that, that's why I'm asking. When I open splat it says "update 11" and if I got it in January and get 12 months of updates the 12th update would be in the anniversary month wouldn't it?

You got the initial release which would be 1 plus 11 updates = 12.

Sounds like you'd be entitled to a year's worth of updates, so if the next update comes before 1/22/16, you're golden. Either way, I'm guessing CW has a modest grace period. It would not make sense (to me) for them to pull the plug at the split second your 12 months is up. They've seemed pretty fair work other aspects of their new license/support plan. IMHO.

12 months worth of updates does not mean 12 updates. It means you'll get updates for 12 months.

In fact there have been far more than 12 updates if you want to be technical.

It says 12 months of updates,  not 12 monthly updates - and I am sure that is what you will get:)

thanks, I think that I will just wait and see, lol
I know how to count months having to pay a mortgage and all but now I'm feeling confused with how CW will see this. No one from CW is even responding with a solution.

Seems simple. Whatever comes out in your 12 month subscription period or 12 month buy outright deal, you get it. If I buy it straight out, which I did, does that mean I get the month I bought it in plus an extra month before my 12 months from date of purchase is up? Of course not. Although I am sure many will pick at wording to try and justify an extra month. No matter how you spin the words its a 12 month subscription. Just my humble opinion.

By the way your date end should be clear in CCC.

We've added a new Membership Details page recently to the account page here: https://www.cakewalk.com/my-account/membership

This should help clear up any confusion about your membership end date. Looks like the answer has already been given in this thread, but if you purchased SONAR on 1/22/15, you'll receive any updates that are released through 1/22/16, plus even a little extra time during the grace period that's in place. So technically, you would really receive updates through 2/7/16 if my math serves me correctly.

    Hopefully this helps!
