opening sfark file
Hello, Beagle, you kindly gave me link to piano soundfont. It looks good. I'm having a hard time unpacking it as its an sfark file. Not sure how (no how) to proceed. Thanks

I just downloaded a sfARK file and I did download the extractor. Does the extractor have to be in the same folder as the soundfonts, like the sf2 files? Also how do I get the soundfont to play in MC 4? Not sure what to do from here. Thanks.

Your CPU could be getting a little busy. It's not unusual when you start using hungry synths. Try backing the latency out to a higher time. When you are recording, you want somewhere between 5 and 10ms, but for playback, 50ms or more is good.

Thanks Bob. It was a bit of a heavy duty project...Too many synths mate. I'll stop having to be so greedy...

Does the extractor have to be in the same folder as the soundfonts, like the sf2 files? No, but because of my advanced age and poor memory, I've found that keeping things grouped together works best for me, so everything sound font related is in the same file, with little sub files for keyboard fonts, strings fonts, drum fonts, etc. Also how do I get the soundfont to play in MC 4? For me, the sound font player is listed in my synth drop down, so when I pick "insert", it is in an arrow for "steinberg", and when I pick it, it comes up with the window that lets you pick how many midi sends, the same as when you pick any other synth.
