other way than external insert plugin (sonar 7)

Hello.

I thought that I should share this to those who don't know.

I had problem using Sonar 7's external insert plugin with my lexicon 200 hardware effect unit.
The external insert just didn't keep the latency correct, so the result was phase issues with the effected sound.

After sometime I decided to look again for this problem, as I had not used lexicon because of this problem.

-I first created vsti-track, sylenth1 in this case, using kick drum preset, and inserted one midi-note to beginning.

-I then freezed the sylenth, so I could see the actual waveform, and it started at (sample) 1.

- I then cloned sylenth, routed the same kickdrum preset via bus to lexicon  (s/pdif connection)
(sylenth output to bus, bus output to lexicon, created audio track which input is from lexicon)

-I then recorded the lexicon input, so I could see how many samples off was kickdrum. The effected kick drum delay is 439 samples. The lexicon was set to bypass.

-Then I set from the audio options the recording offset to 439 samples, and voila, I can now record effects to seperate track without phase issues.

I can finally use the lexicon as a hardware effect.
