output wav level drops halfway through a song?!

Hi Guys

First time I've had this problem. The song starts with rhythm guitar and bass, then 8 bars in when the drums and lead guitar come in, the volume drastically drops, and stays there for the rest of the song. I've tried compressing it before and after mixdown, bussing every track etc.

The other two of the band's songs (and every other mix I have produced in exactly the same way) are fine throughout.
Any ideas? Does Sonar say 'woahh' when all the instruments come in at the same time, and reduce the volume for me?!

I have 8.5 LE, export at 24 bit and use a tascam us800 audio interface with my x64 windows 7 pc.

Thanks

Martyn

Check you compression settings, you might have your threshold to low and so when the other instruments come in, it starts to compress. Disable the compressor and see if it goes back to normal. If it does then you have some settings in your compressor that you did wrong.

...and you have checked that you haven't accidentally created a volume envelope or some other type of automation? Does the decrease in the volume show in the waveform?
