peavey PV6 mixer/soundcard question

I'm trying to type this with a cat between my arms.

I have a Peavey PV6USB that I am going to be using as my mixer/soundcard...my dumb question of the week is...what process do I use to get Music Creator to talk with the mixer/soundcard?

do you play an instrument with a cat between your arms as well? :-)

first thing is make sure you've installed any drivers necessary for the PV6USB.  I'm not familiar with it and haven't helped anyone with this device yet, so I don't know how reliable it is.

once the drivers are loaded, make sure it's still plugged in to USB and ON.  THEN open MC and we'll see if it has ASIO drivers or not.  go to OPTIONS>AUDIO and change the driver mode to ASIO (I did a brief search and could not find any info on the drivers - I hope this is not a "windows USB Codec" driver).  click APPLY and see what happens.

if you get an error message, then go back to WDM and click APPLY and then let the wave profiler run the test.  then make sure the pv6usb is selected in the PLAYBACK and RECORDING DEVICES on that same tab.

Keep an eye on Beag, he sometimes likes to chase cats! Then there was that time he tried to chase that old Tom, and got his nose bloodied... eeekk!
