perfect space/LP64COMPRESSOR& EQ lock SONAR 7

I've been a happy sonar7 user for a while now, but it seems I've run into a problem i'm not sure how it originated or what to do about it. the aforementioned plug-ins are a wonderful addition to sonar and they've worked for me in the past but at some point, it seems as though these 3 plugs lock up my application no matter what i try to do to free resources to employ them. i seem to recall getting information that said they were very powerful and thus should only be used for mastering (which doesn't really make sense to me) but, even if i delete any and all plug-ins prior to using any of the three, once i insert them in a bus or a track and hit play i get no playback whatsoever. once the plug is deleted, all is well.

any one having similar issues or knows how to remedy this occurrence? the CPU meter in my toolbar doesn't give any reading as to how many resources are being used, so i'm not sure how hard my system is being taxed. any suggestions are appreciated and thanks in advance.

what version of windows are you running?  if 64bit OS, are you running S7 32bit or 64bit?

do you have the latest S7 update?

Although PerfectSpace and LP64 are CPU-intensive plugins, a single instance of either or both should not overburden even the most modestly-equipped systems. And when they do, the symptom is normally pops, clicks and dropouts, not silence. The exception would be if dropouts are so severe that the audio engine stops, but that's pretty obvious when it occurs.

When the silence occurs, does the project appear to be playing back, i.e. the Now marker continues to move, just with no sound? Or does playback actually halt?

A screenshot of your track view showing how the tracks and busses are routed might yield a clue.

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

If you are in the mixing stage raise your sound card buffers and see if that helps.

If you are in the recording stage I would recommend not using these two plug's until you are done recording.

Are you running 64 bit? Perfect Space is a 32 bit plug that always gives me trouble running in 64 bit because of Bitbridge. If you are using both Perfect Space and LP 64 Compressor at the same time it may be a problem with Bitbridge.

Try reinstalling them. Even on a single core PC, it shoudlnt lock up.
Make sure your using supported software and hardware. without any other info, there is really nothing more to add.
