per-project audio files

I have been saving my work using per-project audio files under Producer 8.5.  I can't find that option under Professional 2016.05.  How can I set this up?  Thanks.

That doesn't work.  There is no "Use Per-Project Audio Folders" check box at Edit > Preferences > File - Audio Data in Sonar Producer 2016.05.

Sonar's help is littered with references to the per-project audio folder option. But it's not really globally an option any more. There is some weasel wording that says if you haven't named your project yet, recordings go into the global audio folder. Otherwise recordings go by default into the per project folder. Compared to previous versions, the 'new' and 'save as' dialogs and the 'save' dialog for an unnamed project are slightly reworked to allow overriding the default.

That box doesn't exist in Sonar Professional.

The preference setting was removed. IIRC, it happened around Aug. 2015 with the Gloucester release. It is enabled by default http://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=SONAR&language=3&help=FileManagement.4.html

OK.  Now that I know how it works, I can live with that.  I have several projects started with their audio in the global folder.  I will have to create the folder structure and gather the audio files together manually.  I read all the documentation I could find on that topic.  It wasn't clear.  I don't see why they changed it.  It wasn't broke.  Thanks to all that replied.

All you need to do is use the "Save As" function in SONAR and specify the new target folder. It should create the appropriate Audio folder in the project folder. I usually use the navigation and new folder buttons pointed by the red arrow to move to the new location and create the project folder, make sure the "Copy all audio with project" is enabled and make sure the paths are correct in the red box. There is an option to consolidate clips which can be handy to the right of the "Copy all audio with project" option.

Once the projects are validated, delete the audio from the global audio folder.
