That's just how it looks, Mike.

Thanks for the pics, bat. So many unique landscapes in the West, and I love the desolate beauty of Eastern Utah.
A wonderful place to clear your head. Bad place to run out of gas, though. I remember one road trip when we passed Grand Junction on the way to Salt Lake. Gauges looked good, and we should make Green River easy.
About twenty miles West of Junction, the gas gauge drops to empty. WTF!. My wife casually mentions the gas gauge doesn't work( we were in her car, and I'm thinking this is a bloody fine time to find out about this.) As you well know, there is nothing out there. Well, we did make Green River, but the car was gasping, running on fumes.
Anyhow, I still love the area.
I like the shot with my favorite corner of Colorado in the background, too.

    Very cool Bat.
Made me homesick for the high desert areas of New Mexico where I spent
many years in the middle of "nowhere" enjoying...and capturing very few photos.

I've also spent time in Utah and had many friends from Moab-  mining related due to
Uranium and it being an area claiming to be the worlds largest and the folks in NM making
the same claim lol. I don't think the miners really cared as they were to busy making a lot
    of money in both places.
