plugin insert menu line spacing

in the new sonar the line spacing has been increased in plugin menus - such as when inserting an audio effect into the FX bin.  I can't find a way to change it back to the older, narrower line spacing.
 
It's a bother because the menu never adds a second column, it just presents a little arrow to click on to scroll down, which is super obnoxious - at a minimum this behavior should be addressed...
