pro channel - nothing happening... and another question...

OK, without calling me names, why can't I figure out how to get Pro Channel or the track EQ to do anything?
I pushed buttons, tweaked knobs...
the meter doesn't move
nothing sounds different.

And, as long as I'm asking questions - what do I have to do to get the metronome to initialize to MIDI with different note numbers and a different port?  I miss 8.5 and it's internal metronome, and I certainly don't like having to reset the metronome settings every time I start the program.

thank you,

Howard

For the Pro Channel, try rescanning your vst folders. Sometimes after an update (X1A) that had to be done. I don't understand the metronome part. X1 has an internal one, just like 8.5.

The metronome settings are in Edit-Preferences. You will see the tab for the metronome settings at the bottom.

    Hi Howardk,

regards the prochannel not working, try turning on the "Tube Saturation" module of the prochannel and see if that kicks it into life.

I've had this happen a couple of times, the compressor and EQ not working even though they've been enabled, until I clicked on the
button to turn on the Tube Saturation.

    I think it's a little bug :-)

    OK -
it seems that I installed the 32 bit version of X1 first, then the 64 bit.
I tried just updating the 64, but none of the upgrades took.
So, I've now run the 32 bit upgrades.
In 8.5, I had both versions available.  It appears that there is only one now.
Is it 32 or 64?  Does it matter?

    thanks for all your help,
