problem with CPU spikes

Hey guys,

I'm using SONAR 5PE. I've set up a drum template file (DR-008 with nskit_7 samples) to use for playing live w/a MIDI controller. On SONAR 4SE the CPU stays at about 17% consistantly. On SONAR 5PE the CPU meter spikes to warning whenever there are many voices going on (cymbals and such that are long files). The Windows CPU meter stays at about 30% or so consistantly on both programs. I know that there is a bug with the CPU meter, but whenever it spikes in SONAR 5, it causes dropouts. I was under the impression that although SONAR 5 had the CPU meter bug, that just because the meter said warning it wouldn't cause dropouts. Is there something I can do or do I have to wait for 5.0.1?

Audio settings on SONAR 4 and 5 are the same, using Celeron 2.8 GHz processor with 512 MB ram.
