problems with sound

All the volume controls are up all the way, and the volume on my computer is up as well, but I can't hear any sound. I'm very new to this and I haven't figured out how to record music either. If anyone has any advice, please answer, thank you!

Welcome. A few questions for you, first.
Which version of Music Creator are you using?
Can you give us a little information about your computer: How fast is it? How much memory does it have? Do you know what kind of sound card is installed?
You should run the wave profiler. It should have run by itself after the first load of MC. This will let MC 'see' what hardware is connected/installed in your computer and set itself for best performance based on those things. You can run it yourself; at the top of the MC screen is a menu for 'options'. Click on that and select audio. Click the 'advanced' tab and click the wave profiler button. It will do some tests, and when it finishes, you may have to close, and then re-open MC for the settings to stick.
