producer 8.5.3 with Alesis Multimix 8

I am attempting to use the above configuration for an easy portable solution with my laptop but am unable to find out or figure out how to assign the USB input to channels. Has anyone done this already? Any help will be appreciated, Thanks

    did you run the wave profiler after connecting the Alesis?

    the Alesis Multimix USB 8 uses the USB codec for drivers.  there are no ASIO drivers, so WDM or MME must be used in order to profile the drivers in sonar.
