quik group already grouped faders?

Last night i imported someone else's session which consisted of split mono tracks. Had this been a serious project I would have probably bounced them to single stereo files, but as it was I just grouped (and panned) each pair. Then I realized I needed to pull down all the faders (the same amount) but couldn't figure out how. So is there a way to retain quick group functionality with faders that are in different groups?

One group per slider. What you could do is create busses for each pair of tracks. Group the sliders on each pair and group the bus sliders.

thanks for clearing that up. busses would be messy tho. i was hoping there was an extended key command that would still let me grab them all. In fact there should be..

You can't quick group already grouped faders as the ctrl key for quick grouping is also the over ride key for regular groups.

Having said that you'll get the following behaviour.........

If you hold down ctrl and move a control that is already grouped it will move that control only.
If you hold down the ctrl key and move a control that isn't permanently grouped it will move that and the same control in all selected tracks even if they are part of a regular group. Unselected tracks in that group will not respond.

Hope that's not written too confusingly.
