Nice. One of my favourite rock songs, and a superb, simple riff. Was watching AC/DC live at River Plate over the weekend, and it is remarkable how clean the guitars are, which seems to make them way more punchy and powerful. Still a fine live band.

I remember when this album came out my best friend's older brother painted his entire bedroom (walls and ceiling) jet black and painted a huge AC/DC logo in silver. I just felt like my life would be revolutionized if I, too, could have a black bedroom. Fortunately, my mother was having none of it

The drummer looked pretty glum though at that gig, but I did enjoy the shots of him playing away with a fag (of the Brit kind!) dangling from his mouth. I thought the crowd were awesome, and some great overhead camera angles of the whole lot moving about. And great to see Angus still leaping about all the time. Back in my 'pro' days in the late 80s, I did have the pleasure of working with both Mutt Lange and Tony Platt. Very different styles (Tony is pretty laid back, compared with the almost insane dedication to every tiny detail of Mutt). Good times :)

So, like... how does Booby O decide that Phil Rudd is behind the beat rather than figuring that Mr. Angus may be off the front? Any body know what key it's in? I wanna go clean out my cookies. best regards, mike

Good point Mike. I would hazard that Angus is pushing the guitar, and the rhythm section is bang on. I'll take a stab at A for the key...

Interesting that Owsinski doesn't mention the mastering, or lack of "volume maximizing" that is responsible for the big punchy sound. There is some compression on the drums, but not like what's normal on current recordings of the same genre.
