"Bapu, you rock guitar" [EPIC FAIL]

That's what audiomidi.com said when I opened my box from them today

I'll report back if that chord he's  playing works.

<updated 12 April, 2012>
I will be returning this thing.

That chord looks like a variant of Am that I've never seen.  And his chest is far too flat to be a normal male.  This is obviously Photoshopped...

I hope it does it's the only chord I've learned so far.

The guitar almost makes the Variax look cool though, no?

Gave the thing a 20 minute work out.

When I choose to use it I will have set aside some time to get into it's mode of operation. It's not lightening fast tracking but for solo strings (read: swells) it's pretty good for me.

Probably just barely worth what I paid for it. $159 vs $199 (the going price last year).

    I might even RTFM.

You mean you actually bought it?

    That is impressive.

Can't you use Melodyne or something these days to audio to midi guitars?

Or am I too far in the future in thinking you can do that successfully?

I hope you returned it via Chez Bouy in order to confirm it was indeed unsuitable.

You're gonna have to trust me on this. There was no Am note. Not even in eastern tuning.

Tracking is "not that good" in terms of what - your expectations, or in comparison to other midi guitar thingies?

Or maybe you just don't rock?

In order, then, to discover the limit of deepest tones, it is necessary not only to produce very violent agitations in the air but to give these the form of simple pendular vibrations. - Hermann von Helmholtz, predicting the role of the electric bassist in 1877.
