"Caribbean Sail" - (Travelling through the San Blas Islands)

On my South American trip, one of the highlights was the 5 day sail through the san blas islands, absolute postcard stuff. I wrote a song with a swedish guy on the boat using the memories and we stumbled through a version of it one night on the catamaran boat, a real special memory.

I've created a video that fuses the live performance there and then with the studio version of the track including pics & vids from the trip itself. Take a look! Big shout out to James Yeomans from the yoyo factory for producing the track and making it fit with the occasion as opposed to the uninteresting demo I initially gave him.

    Awesome.

Simply put... I love the idea of live singing like this. Great performance.

    Nice product placement

Now the studio version has kicked in. Nice original song Cian, and like your last offering, this is well done.

    Great vid

Andy, thanks dude. I actually winged a lot of this performance but it was so special I had to leave some of it in its raw form. The Aloe Vera joke came up as one of the boys bought aloe vera hair gel which he was using on his body, he got a raw deal.

Hey there gus, good to hear from ya. Seriously those San Blas Islands are postcard stuff, Id highly recommend the to people as an alternative to Hawaii or philippines etc

Liked how the video interspersed the beach chill singing with the studio version. Extremely sad I wasn't in it.

keep up the good "work"  :)

    Cian,

Enjoyable video and song.   It is cool to see the ad lib, unplugged version with just the guitar and vocals throughout the video, and, the fully produced version at the beginning and end of the video.    You make me wish I was still young enough to make those trips:)  Looks like you had an awesome time...Great work as always.

    Regards

Hi Mark hows it going? Long time no speak. Thanks for dropping bye. If you have a wallet and two legs, there is always a chance to get out there. treat yourself, its stunning.

Tones, brother, good to see you back at it. Good, Good, Good babe!

Thanks Jon, delighted that I managed to skillfully fuse both studio and live together, it was tricky, but just about pulled it off...despite the live version being a bit off on the tuning :-o!
