"Clean Audio Folder" hangs...

Anyone else experience this in X1B 246 (32bit)?

It hangs for me, but after a while it moves on. It doesn't completely crash or cause any issues. How long does it freeze for you?

OK just did a scan. It got as far as the Games folder on my machine and hung for over 45 seconds. It did eventually finish the scan and I was able to delete files.

Nope, mine hangs for several lifetimes. If I click on it it says "Not responding" and closes.

I get this too and it drives me completely bonkers. I have to kill Sonar.exe and try it several times. The part that nearly puts me in the asylum is Sonar's insistence on scanning every file in my computer. Why I can't say, "Scan this folder" is beyond me.

It is often up to an external harddrive. Sometimes I get this too. Then I switch off my external harddrive. Then the "clean audio" goes on.

Ever since I switched my projects to peer project folder format, I never use the utility clean audio folder. That utility is dated and never worked so well under the peer project format. I hope that a fix comes along from the Cake Bakers to rectify that issue. Time back when all my projects stored the audio data in one folder, that utility worked great.

I use the utility and like it, except for the fact that it appears to hang sonar for a while. As people said, it seems dependent on how much scanning it has to do.

It would be nice if Sonar would allow exclusion folders from being scanned. I don't need to scan my windows directory for project files, nor do I need to scan huge document or image repositories, or slow external archive drives.

Because folks like Lance like to move stuff all over their drives, and Cake probably didn't want emails complaining Sonar lost their files..?
