"Clone as Separate Synth"

Wouldn't it be cool to have in the "Clone Track" option, an implemented option that says "Clone/Duplicate as Separate Synth"?

The function would be used for it to duplicate the original vst to a new track (with all the current settings of the original vst) but as its own separate synth?

This would be ideal for me as a sonar user cause i like to create sounds on the soft synths and use them on track 1. Then I'd like to make a duplicate of the vst and its settings (as a separate synth)  so i can tweak it for track 2.

Would this be useful to anyone?

Oh, absolutely. I recently tried this innocently and got unexpected interactions (I clone audio tracks all the time with no ill effects).

When I asked for help I was lectured that Clone and Copy is not the same and that I should read the manual.

The manual wasn't any clearer so I ended up creating a second track, then copying everything across.

    Real waste of productive time.

+1 .   I was looking for that feature since X2

Windows 10/64, Intel i7 Xeon X6575 3,07GHz, 24Gb RAM, chipset: Intel X58 Express, Kingston SSD 240Gb,  Sonar Platinum , Edirol UA-25.  (Some extra VSTs: PSP almost all/  IK - AT4, ST3, / AAS - all/ TH3 full/ +10dB/ Melodyne Editor). EVE sc205 monitors, Defil Kosmos guitar, blue lava lamp, ashtray.  And there is some great music you may find at: https://soundcloud.com/pawel-jan-1
