Cool! I'm feeling a groovy unplugged Allman Brothers vibe in this...anyone else get that? Rik, what do you mic your guitar with (or is it plugged in?) I'd sure like to hear a bit more sparkle on it...maybe get a little finger noise in there....put a little hot sauce on them cold noodles! LOL

Very nice noodling Rik...enjoyed this with my cup of morning java....this could very well turn into a jazzy/swinging tune.....(I can imagine an upright bass just grooving to this....).

Hi Daryl, thanks, glad you like the sound. Mic is a Behringer t-47 tube mic. Hi Tony, thanks , allthough I don't know the Allman brothers. Hi Mesh, thanks , there's a little bass part in there, dim pro acoustic bass. Hi vicente, thanks, glad you like this spontaneous piece. Rik

Two chord vamp, but I heard three. Quite easy to pick up on the i-V7, but I also picked up i-ii and III and V and ii can sub D/Bm, so i and III Am/C) Quite simple and this may be the first "jazz" piece I heard that is not modal (you get a bigger plate of noodles with that.) Great job! The folks at iBM may rip this to shreds (and I'm not kidding!). Goes to show you that two-chord tunes do exist. It is amazing what igets conjured up noodling! One question: Campbell's or Ramen? One more question: COLD NOODLES?!! Really? :)

Hi Russ, so I can't even count ; ) I have no idea what modal is nor do I understand what you mean by those Roman numerals. Just the first thing I played this morning was that vamp. Added a little bass line in prv. Played a solo over that without thinking. Just a liitle spontaneous thing after working a week on my previous piece with Janet. I did read what you wrote in Janet's thread about progressions, didn't understand a word of that. maybe i should stick to one chord ; ) Rik P.S. Grande Italia and really, no ; )

I didn't expect you to - at least not the second after you read it. It takes time to grasp that concept. It'll come. Don't force it. Playing on the spot helps, but you will have to think about this stuff at some point. Stick to one chord? That is the "lonliest number that you ever knew." Stick with two. A little improvisation, eh? Nice! Yet, such players are thinking a mile-a-minute, believe it or not. They just hide it so well! :)

G'day Rik, nice noodle :). Clean, organic recording. What Mic is that on the guitar, one or 2?. I am glad I took the time to catch up with some of all your tunes today. Been a busy week, refreshing to listen to others work :). Cheers, Tony
