"Database Error" Msg

Friends what does this mean? I had the bright idea, thanks to a video tutorial (Disclaimer: NO ONE FROM BandLab) that said it was fine to have BOTH Platinum and BandLab loaded on same HDD. I had FINALLY gotten EVERYTHING on Platinum working like hot butter, and as soon as I loaded Bandlab EVERYTHING was affected somehow, including this msg that I had before I did a fresh install from Win10, which is the Subject header. I don't quite know what it means. I did a term lookup in the Knowledge Base, but nothing came up. As far as I can tell it doesn't seem to be screwing with anything, at least nothing major. It's just something tells me it ain't good.

Rest assured that this has nothing to do with having SPlat and Cakewalk co-installed on the same system. The file is merely a local cache of some of the inventory data in the registry, for faster access. If you delete it, Cakewalk automatically recreates it on next run.

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

How To Fix This Error 2018/10/02 23:26:01 (permalink)
I could KICK myself for this. I had done a complete format and upgrade from Win7 to Win10 Pro, then installed Platinum from scratch and everything was working beautifully. Then, like an idiot, after watching one of the new videos for BandLab where the guy said it would work fine if Platinum was still installed. NOOTT!!
Now, I get this error msg. that appears right under the green box that verifies all of your VST's are correct. This appears right under it in the same kind of box.
    "Database Error
Database connection failed. Assigned plugin categories and names will be unavailable."
So, I uninstalled BandLabs, and it's still there. In fact, no matter what I do it still stays there. I don't really understand what it's saying, let alone how to fix it. Little hep, peas?
    Tnx,
