"METHADONE FOR BREAKFAST" {studio track}
slow, deliberate, heavy, dirge-ish, dark, grungy... goin' 4 a bit of a raw/ unpolished feel too w/ all the clicks/amp squeals/rough edges. lyrics are kinda pathetic - basically just excerpts paraphrased from a note i had written on a napkin at a methadone clinic for my wife to give to my mom back in the 90s when i was often MIA. she never gave it to her of course but i found it in a trunk many years later while moving. In spite of the anguish that produced these lyrics, you managed to create something artistic and lasting from this episode in your life. You passed your message along quite eloquently and with conviction. This is quite a counterbalance to some of the happy go lucky tunes that are here, and I find it refreshing. I've always thought that your lyrics are some of the best around whether they're happy or sad. You don't disappoint.

Sounds like I woke up and it's the 90's again. Has a real grunge vibe.
I actually didn't like the track until the vocal came in, the vocal is great and makes the grunge listenable (sorry I hated grunge). The mix and master sound awsome, my only complaint is you have buried the vox a bit too much for my likeing.

Good writing. And yea, a grung vibe for sure.
Not sure if the vocals come up towards the end or my ears just got used to back stage level or what. But yea, the vocals could come up some, esp. early. That is if you want them too.
But sounds good - better than a lot of stuff on the radio.
