Nice, Hum do I detect deja vu in my reply.

love it. love DADGAD tuning. lately that's one that i've been working with a lot. you're a way better classical technician than i will ever be so this is most inspirational. actually jamming along a bit with you here. i think the resonance of the Dsus4 chord and all its resonating potential between open and fretted strings excite new frequency patterns which give it that unique texture and spectrum of sound. this is truly great. thanks for sharing! :-)

As always, consistently good. There is so much potential with that tuning. The mic an DI combination sounds like the guitar was next to me. You got the mojo.

nice sound. I have considered tuning one of my acoustics to this tuning.... I have to make a note to do this. That guitar sounds as lush as any I have ever heard.

Hi Ed,thanks, glad you like it. Hi Herb, thanks,DI + mic and a dollop of reverb does make a lush sound, DADGAD doesn't hurt either. ; ) Hi Mike, Thanks, this is one of those tunes that comes up naturally in DADGAD, for me at least ; ) Rik

Hi Rik, Great guitar playing skills and a very good recording job I'd say! And what matters most: it works! I'm sitting here on my balkony in the sun and a pleasent light breeze going, (after summer has shown some mercy on us here in NL and finally arrived) listening to your track as the perfect accompaniment for the 3rd time already....in a very good mood : ) groet, Daniel

Superb acoustic picking (on my Adams Monitors) ... a bit reminiscent of SMB (Larry and James). Sweet sweet performance!

it really is amazing. have listened to it a bunch of times now. i totally suck compared to this ;p my approach is much more blunt and from a chording/ geometric angle, but the resonance of the cool tuning is still there http://forum.cakewalk.com/tm.aspx?m=2616275

Hi Daren , just a completely different approach. For me it's melody first, let DADGAD take care of the harmony and the rhythm will follow the melody. Yours is more of a "rock"approach, ie rhythm first. Rik

I've avoided alternate tunings because I don't have a bunch of acoustic guitars and I hate having to retune but I love the sound. What I have learned is an astounding number of open string chords, which can give a lot of the same effect. I've leaned to used a great many fluently and interchangabley with all the other chords. But back to your tune... I didn't take me long to warm up to it, I like it! Daryl

Hi Daryl, thanks for listening. I can play this piece in standard tuning but it doesn't sound the same. DADGAD does give of a certain vibe, and makes it easier to play ; ) Hi Jason, thanks, glad you like it. Hi Ben , thanks for the kind words : ) Rik
